Augustana College will have a combined celebration for its 104th Homecoming and annual Family Weekend on Oct. 4-6, 2024.

Special reunions are planned for classes with graduation years ending with 4 and 9.

Please use the form below to register for Homecoming and Family Weekend. This year, we are only accepting registrations for paid events. If an event is not listed on the registration form, registration is not required. If you only plan to attend events that are not listed, please still complete the registration form to let us know you're coming.

Parking and accessibility information

A campus parking map is available here. During Homecoming and Family Weekend, guest parking is available in the Centennial Hall Lot (Lot E), Lot C and Lot G. Parking for the Gerber Center is in Lot J. Handicap accessible parking spaces are located in Lot E and Lot J. Guests may park in Faculty/Staff lots after 4:30 p.m. on Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Avoid student lots to prevent tickets, which cannot be waived.

We recommend arriving early as parking spaces fill up quickly. The nearest parking lot for event check-in is Lot E.

Golf carts for guests with limited mobility will be available on:

  • Friday, Oct. 4: 10 a.m.-8:45 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 5: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Golf carts will stop at Centennial Hall, Brunner Theatre Center (second floor) and the Thomas Tredway Library for access to the Gerber Center. Note: The Gerber Center and G?vle Rooms are inaccessible by golf cart when the library is closed. Elevator access through the library is available:

  • Friday, Oct. 4: 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 5: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 6: 11 a.m.-midnight

A shuttle van will transport guests to the following events. The shuttle has limited capacity, so walking might be faster if possible:

  • 1974 Reception: 6:30-10 p.m., between Centennial Hall and Gerber Center, G?vle Rooms.
  • 1979 Dinner: 6:30-9:30 p.m., between Centennial Hall and House on the Hill.
  • Donuts at the Dahl Home: 8:30-10:30 a.m., between Centennial Hall and Dahl President's Home.

Frequently asked questions

Event registration and costs

Q: Do I need to pay for events?
A: Reunion events such as receptions and dinners, as well as the Fall Picnic, GOLD Bingo Game and Celebration Belle riverboat cruise, all require a registration fee.

Q: Can I register or edit my registration during Homecoming and Family Weekend?
A: Yes, new registrations and changes to existing registrations can be made during the event at the registration and check in center, located on the second floor of the Brunner Theatre Center. Registration for paid events is also available at the event.

Q: Can I edit my registration?
A: Yes, you can edit your registration at any time before Homecoming and Family Weekend by contacting Linda Warne at lindawarne@augustana.edu or 309-794-7589. Please do not submit a new registration for edits.

Q: I only see a few events on the registration form. Why is this?
A: To simplify the process, only events that have a cost or require a headcount for food are included in the registration form. Please refer to the schedule of events for a complete list of activities.

Q: Do I need to complete a registration if I will only attend free events?
A: Yes, please complete a registration if you plan to attend any free events.

Q: Can I cancel my registration?
A: Refunds are available for cancellations received by Monday, Sept. 23. Contact Linda Warne at lindawarne@augustana.edu or 309-794-7589 to cancel.

Q: Where do I check in?
A: Check-in is located on the second floor of the Brunner Theatre Center during the following times:

  • Friday, Oct. 4: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 5: 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

If you pre-registered, present your QR code received via email when checking in. You will receive an event name badge, which serves as your ticket.

Q: I can't make it in time to check in. What should I do?
A: Contact Linda Warne at lindawarne@augustana.edu or 309-794-7589 for assistance.

 

Reunion information

Q: Which classes are celebrating reunions?
A: Classes ending in '4 and '9 are celebrating reunions this year. The classes of 2014, 2019 and 2024 will not have separate reunions but are welcome to attend the GOLD bingo game.

Q: What is the dress attire for reunion events?
A: There is no set attire for reunion events. Guests often wear blue and gold. Men typically wear dress pants and a dress shirt, while women usually opt for slacks or a dress and a blouse.

 

Transportation and parking

Q: Will a shuttle be available to transport me from my hotel to campus?
A: No shuttle service is provided. Check with your hotel for available shuttles, carpool with a friend, or use a taxi or rideshare service. Hotels can usually assist with scheduling transportation.

Q: Is handicap parking available?
A: Yes, handicap parking is available in Lot E (Centennial Hall) and outside the Gerber Center for Student Life.

Q: Where do you recommend I park?
A: Parking is available in Lot E (Centennial Hall), Lot C, and Lot G. For the Gerber Center, park in Lot J. Faculty/Staff lots are available after 4:30 p.m. on Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Avoid student lots to prevent tickets.

Q: Are golf carts available?

Q: When is the bookstore open?
A: Augustana College Bookstore hours:

  • Friday, Oct. 4: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Q: Are academic buildings open?
A: Yes, academic buildings are open all day on Friday and Saturday, typically closing around 8 p.m.

Additional information

Q: I'm registering for Family Weekend. Do I need to register my student?
A: No, students do not need to register for Family Weekend. However, if you are attending the Celebration Belle riverboat cruise or Fall Picnic, the primary registrant must add your student (and all attendees in your party) as a guest.
