Applying to Augustana early

If you know Augustana is the college for you

Early Decision: Early Decision applicants who complete the admission application by Nov. 1, submit required application materials (official high school transcript and secondary school report) and complete an admissions interview will receive an admissions and scholarship decision by Nov. 15.

The tuition deposit deadline for Early Decision is Dec. 15.

This is a binding commitment recommended for students who are sure to enroll if accepted. Students who choose to apply Early Decision must complete the Early Decision Agreement Form. This form is part of both the Common Application and the Augustana Application. Tuition deposits are due Dec. 15.

An Early Decision applicant will automatically qualify for the $1,000 Early Filers Award if the FAFSA is submitted to Augustana by Jan. 15.

Early Decision applicants gain the following benefits:

  • Early housing selection 
  • Early access to the parking lottery 
  • CORE coach meeting prior to enrollment 
  • Early Decision SWAG package 
  • Early course registration 
  • Priority scholarship consideration and minimum scholarship of $29,500 annually for campus residents with a full meal plan and a qualifying visit to campus
  • A GOLD (graduates of the last decade) mentor

If you're still considering a variety of colleges

Consider these options from Augustana:

Early Action: Complete your application by Nov. 1 to receive an admissions decision by Dec. 20. Tuition deposits are due May 1.

A student will automatically qualify for the $1,000 Early Filers Award if the FAFSA is submitted to Augustana by Jan. 15.

Regular Decision: Complete your application by April 1. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis starting in early January. Financial aid decisions are sent on a rolling basis starting in Feb. through April 1. Tuition deposits are due May 1.
