My FIRST Passport
The My FIRST Passport Award is a grant to assist first- and second-year students obtain a passport. Having a passport can open new opportunities for students to explore the world. Students who have a valid passport have an easier time studying abroad, traveling abroad for research, attending professional conferences abroad, and much more.
Students who apply and are approved for this award will be reimbursed up to $165 for the costs associated with applying for their first passport.
Eligibility
- Be an Augustana degree-seeking student in their first or second year.
- Never have had a passport before. This award does not apply to passport renewals.
- Apply for a passport during the current academic year.
- Commit to set an appointment with a member of the International & Off-Campus Programs office to discuss studying abroad.

The current cost of a U.S. Passports is $130 and the acceptance fee is $35.
There is no deadline for applications.
