Apply for SLIDE by Sept. 20
Students are invited to apply for the SLIDE program (Student Leaders in Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity), a leadership initiative designed to bring together students who are passionate about fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
Up to 30 students will be selected to participate in this guided program, where the group will read and discuss Michelle MiJung Kim's book, "The Wake Up: Closing the Gap Between Good Intentions and Real Change." If chosen, participants will receive a free copy of the book.
Monthly meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., beginning in Oct. 2024 and continuing through May 2025. Students who complete all sessions will earn a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate and 8 Viking Score points.
