Public Health Keynote Speaker: Grace Kyung

Grace Kyung, MPH, MUP will be the keynote speaker during Public Health Week. The event is hosted by Augustana's Public Health Program and Department of Geography.

St. Louis is divided by systemic racism and economic and social inequities that have grown rather than being rooted out over the years. Grace’s work focuses on breaking down these barriers by harnessing the city’s assets and understanding the role of transportation planning in community development. She develops tools and processes for inclusive, collaborative planning to create healthy communities by using data and people’s lived experiences. She is a leader in creating a process whereby decisions are made through the lens of racial equity and in providing an opportunity for true progress rather than perpetuating the status quo. Come learn about the intersection of Public Health and Urban Planning from a young professional in the field.
